Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Technician to join our team at the University of Bristol. As a Student Technician, you will play a key role in providing technical support for events and activities across the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for events, including setting up and operating sound, lighting, and AV equipment.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of events by providing logistical support and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Work closely with event organizers and technical teams to ensure successful event execution.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of technical equipment and systems to provide expert support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in operating sound, lighting, and AV equipment.
  • Excellent customer service skills to provide support to customers, visitors, and university members.
  • Ability to take responsibility for health and safety, technical, and event logistics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
