About the Role

As a Commercial Growth Specialist at SC Johnson Professional, you will play a key role in driving the company's distribution and sales growth through excellent communication and planning with retailers. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to build and grow the position to deliver the best results for the company.

About the Team/Department

You will report to the Sales Director and work closely with the commercial functions, including sales, marketing, and category, to bring together brand and retailer strategies to win with shoppers. Your responsibilities will include being the voice of the shopper and customer, leading the preparation of SC Johnson's communication with retailers, and connecting with media and creative agencies to get what is needed for impactful presentations of brands and media plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the voice of the shopper and customer: find and leverage shopper/consumer insights to lead engaging and compelling narratives to allow SC Johnson to gain distribution.
  • Lead preparation of SC Johnson's communication with retailers working with Marketing and Sales managers to ensure our messages land with impact against SC Johnson and retailers' strategies.
  • Connect with Media and creative agencies to get what is needed for impactful presentations of Brands creativity and media plans for customers and internal communications.
  • Attend key customer meetings /or make presentations to present itself or support the key account managers / marketing leaders with creative marketing ideas and excellence.
  • To work with internal stakeholders to build NPD proposals (including live demos) that ensure that our innovation is highly distributed across channels.
  • To share publicly available data about competitors communication.
  • To take the lead in running our Sales and Marketing integration ensuring that timely action plans are shared and implemented, keeping track of progress against agreed plans.
  • Identify new opportunities / customers to grow SC Johnson distribution.
  • To investigate new channels.

Experience you'll bring:

  • Good experience of Account Management and experience of working with UK retailers.
  • Working cross functionally to be the link between Sales, Marketing and Category.
  • A good understanding of the UK retail landscape and how to bring that to life.
  • Marketing experience desired, but not essential.

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills allowing you to land messages with impact by transforming complex data and insights into actionable plans.
  • Good project management experience and drive to succeed.
  • Ability to lead and inspire colleagues.
  • Strong collaborative approach, managing internal and external stakeholders.
