Quantity Surveying Professional

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in the United Kingdom. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a proven track record in managing cost estimation, procurement, and contract negotiation to ensure project financial efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Financial Reporting: Conduct cost analysis and financial reporting throughout project lifecycles.
- Contract Negotiation and Administration: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, and administer contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Project Management: Monitor and manage project cash flows and budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess commercial risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on projects.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant construction regulations and legislation, including health and safety regulations and building codes.
- Team Collaboration: Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project targets are met, and provide expert advice on cost management and contract administration.
Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
- A full UK driving license.
