Construction Cost Estimator Expert

Premier Forecourts and Construction is offering a unique opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Office and contribute to the success of our company.
As a leading provider of specialist construction services, we deliver projects across a range of sectors, from residential to commercial and industrial.
About the Role:The ideal candidate will possess two years of experience in building and Civils, or recent qualification with a BSC in Quantity Surveying, and be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of construction and civil engineering principles.
- Estimating for small schemes
- Submitting monthly valuations
- Negotiating Final Accounts
- Compile Cost Value Reports (CVR) updates, budgets, and enquiries
- Responsible for controlling and updating Project Enquiry (P&E) Log
- Identification and submitting of fully built-up variations
- Conduct financial checks on completed projects and check compliance with Premier policies and procedures
- Developing effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, and members of the Maintenance and Contracts team
- Commercial reporting
- Responsible for achieving set individual and department Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Mentoring of Trainee and Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing finances, providing excellent customer service, and working closely with the commercial team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Two years or more experience of building and civils
- Demonstrated knowledge of constructions and civil engineering principles
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office 365 packages and a developed understanding of construction industry software packages, in particular we use; Evaluate, Sage Construct & Procure
- A team-oriented individual that contributes at an operational level
- Supports the business in delivering its Vision, Mission, and Premier Values
