London, Greater London, United Kingdom DBD International Full time

As a problem solver in the nuclear industry, you will be part of DBD International's simulation and modelling team. This team is involved in multiple projects across the UK and US, including waste reprocessing, decommissioning, and site management.

Your work will be highly integrated with our process engineering, nuclear safety, and security teams. DBD International is an international company that values diversity and inclusion, and we are committed to developing the next generation of scientists and engineers.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is keen to develop their skills and experience and take on responsibility for their technical work with customers. Good technical communication skills are essential, as are problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate would have a fundamental broad grounding in science and engineering and a keen interest in learning coding languages such as Python or Java, as well as modelling software like Anylogic or gPROMS, and data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau.

In this 12-month contract, you will join our hybrid remote team based in Birchwood Park, Warrington. The location requires you to be within commutable distance of our office. We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, taking into account the local cost of living and the qualifications required for the role.

We require applicants to be penultimate-year students in chemical engineering, mathematics, physics, or another closely related subject. You must have an expected mark of 2.1 or above and be available for the duration of the contract, with provisions for academic requirements.

You will have opportunities to learn and grow with us, and we encourage candidates to apply who are eager to develop their skills and knowledge in a dynamic and challenging environment.
