About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Older Adult Clinical Psychology Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to older adults with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist psychological assessments and interventions to older adults in secondary care settings.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to service users.
  • Develop and deliver psychologically informed care and care planning through case discussions, MDT meetings, supervision, training, and consultation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service-related research and audit projects.
  • Provide clinical supervision to other psychological therapists and contribute to the development of the wider Older Adult network.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and registration with the Health Professions Council or BABCP/BACP accredited CBT/therapist with additional training in EMDR/DBT.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions within a mental health environment.
  • Experience of working within multidisciplinary services in mental health and providing clinical supervision to other psychological therapists.
  • Knowledge of professional issues in psychology and psychological therapies, contemporary legislation relevant to the delivery of mental health and psychological services, and systems theory and organisational change.
