**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a dedicated professional with at least six months of phlebotomy experience to work on a part-time basis as a Phlebotomist. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Taking venous blood samples safely from patients in wards and outpatient departments.
- Ensuring the quality of blood samples using aseptic techniques and minimizing patient discomfort.
- Verifying patient identities, adhering to special instructions (e.g., fasting periods), and obtaining consent for procedures.
- Providing high-quality support to our clinical teams.
- Remaining calm under pressure and maintaining professionalism.
- Preparing work areas correctly and handling equipment safely.
- Maintaining stock levels and advising senior staff when replenishment is necessary.
- Following policies and procedures for handling specimens/samples.
- Respecting patients' dignity, wishes, and beliefs while involving them in shared decision-making.
- Preparation for tasks, considering risks and individual needs.
- Recording tasks accurately and following delegated procedures.
**Requirements:**
- At least six months of phlebotomy experience.
- A keen eye for detail and strong communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
