Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist for Outpatient Care

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Outpatient Care at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of the department, acting as a role model for junior team members and support the development and delivery of high-standard nursing care. As a key member of the team, you will provide clinical and managerial leadership, taking the lead in specific areas of practice or project work in the outpatient environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. To assist the OPD Nurse Manager in ensuring patients attending OPD are cared for to the highest possible standard.
  2. To develop practice with the support of the OPD manager.
  3. To take the lead in a specific aspect of OPD service, including practicing clinically in an agreed care setting according to approved protocols or guidance.

Person Specification:

Education/Training

Essential
  1. Registered nurse entry on part 1 or 2 of the NMC Register.
  2. In possession of or working towards degree-level education or demonstrate experience of working at this level.
  3. Knowledge of cancer care or palliative care.

Desirable
  1. Teaching/management qualification.
  2. Postgraduate degree.

Estimated Salary Range: £42,000 - £56,000 per annum,
