Senior HR Business Partner

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Business Partner to join our team at KPI Recruiting Ltd.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide professional HR services, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with HR legislation and best practices across both manufacturing and services factories.
You will be responsible for coordinating and documenting all mandatory training to ensure services meet legal and supplier requirements for food hygiene, food safety, and health and safety, supporting the organisation's 'audit ready every day' philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
- Conduct right to work checks
- Evaluate policies and practices for compliance with current HR legislation and industry standards
- Promote equality and diversity within the organisation
- Address staff issues regarding performance or attendance in a legally compliant manner
- Handle disciplinary or formal grievances professionally and fairly
- Provide advice and support to the management team regarding staff matters
- Work with the Head of HR and external agencies to design and deliver annual employee engagement surveys, developing the Culture and Engagement Strategy based on survey results
- Support communication throughout the organisation, including attending meetings, arranging briefing sessions, and delivering presentations
- Conduct occupational health referrals and offer pastoral support and guidance to employees
- Maintain consistent and compliant documentation for audits and HR reports
- Collaborate with department managers to support workforce planning and employee development aligned with business objectives
Training Coordination:
- Coordinate Food Safety Level 2, HACCP Level 2, Health and Safety Level 2, First Aid at Work, and Food Hygiene and Food Safety training for production operatives, team leaders, supervisors, and managers
- Induction training
Documentation:
- Maintain up-to-date electronic training information
- Design training materials
- Prepare and present documentation during customer and supplier audits
- Assist in writing job descriptions and reviewing/editing the staff handbook as needed
- Monitor sickness absence
- Filing personnel information in a GDPR-compliant manner
- Maintain computer-based records, including electronic personnel files
Requirements:
- A solid understanding of key employment law principles and codes of practice
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification
- Excellent training design and delivery skills
- Approachable attitude
- Excellent communication skills, including listening and verbalising ideas effectively
- An ethical approach to all matters
- Sound judgment
About the Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is £34,000-£37,000 per annum, dependent on experience. If you have a strong background in HR and are passionate about providing excellent service, we encourage you to apply.
