Job Title: Community Engagement Officer

Age UK East London is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Community Outreach team, you will play a vital role in supporting older adults with low-level support needs to live independently within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality outreach support services to older adults, promoting independence and wellbeing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with statutory and voluntary sector agencies to ensure access to appropriate services.
  • Work closely with service users to identify their needs and develop individual support plans.
  • Signpost people to relevant services, including healthcare, social care, and community activities.
  • Contribute to the development of shared working practices across the service network.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults, particularly those with low-level support needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and stakeholders.
  • Intermediate IT skills, with experience of using word-processing software and electronic records.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.
