As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for the management of the operating list, ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality care in the perioperative environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective patient care.

This role requires a strong understanding of perioperative nursing practices and procedures, as well as the ability to manage the operating theatre safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for planning and delivering patient care, updating medical records, and reporting incidents in line with Trust policies.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. As a senior theatre practitioner, you will be required to function effectively as the practitioner in charge of the operating theatre, ensuring optimum theatre efficiency and safe high-quality surgical service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the operating list and ensuring safe patient care
  • Collaborating with the medical team to ensure efficient use of the theatre
  • Updating patient medical records and reporting incidents
  • Leading the team and providing supervision and support
