Befriender and Companion for People with Disabilities

We invite applications from dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer. In this role, you will provide essential support and companionship to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to participate in activities they enjoy.
Main Responsibilities- Establish trusting relationships with individuals we support, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Plan and participate in activities that promote social interaction, community engagement, and personal growth.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless support and care.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Kindness, empathy, and patience when interacting with individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection procedures.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.00.
