Job Title: Specialty Doctor Psychiatrist in Learning Disabilities

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Specialty Doctor Psychiatrist in Learning Disabilities. We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to work in our 10-bed inpatient unit for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a Specialty Doctor on a 10-bed inpatient psychiatric ward for people with learning disability and/or autism, with co-morbid mental disorder.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality care and treatment to patients with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Collaborate with a large multi-disciplinary team to design and develop the team to deliver consistently high-quality care and treatment.

Requirements:

  • At least four years full-time postgraduate experience (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis).
  • Experience in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed-term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty.
  • Experience at Resident (formerly junior) doctor level or above of working in the field of Psychiatry of Intellectual Disabilities or with autistic adults in other contexts.
