Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Development Manager to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of service pathways and specifications within our Children with Disabilities team.

The post holder will work closely with senior management colleagues to ensure the effective management of directorate resources and the delivery of services that meet financial, performance, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of service pathways and specifications
  • Ensuring the effective management of directorate resources
  • Leading teams and projects, as well as working as part of a team
  • Maintaining effective communication with professional peers and stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and/or related healthcare services, with experience in operational management and senior public sector management. They will also have a good working knowledge of computer office applications and be able to present complex information logically and concisely.

Requirements:
  • Post-qualification training or equivalent experience applicable to the delivery of Mental Health Services
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Training to level 3 in Safeguarding children and young people: roles and competencies for Health Care staff
  • Management Qualification
  • Able to present highly complex information logically and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
