This role requires a postgraduate qualification in Archives & Records Management and relevant experience leading a team within a local authority setting.
About the RoleThe Senior Collections Development Officer will be responsible for the management, care, access, and interpretation of Lincolnshire County Council's large archive collection. This includes collaborating with the Culture Service's wider portfolio of sites, including Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Museum, The Usher Gallery, The Museum of Lincolnshire Life, Discover Stamford, and The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement service strategies and delivery plans that meet organisational targets and objectives, and maintain Archive Service Accreditation and Place of Deposit status.
- Ensure proper management and care of collections, including accessibility in reference to legal frameworks such as the Public Records Act, Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Copyright, and Intellectual Property Rights Laws.
- Take a practical approach in day-to-day operations, including repository processes, reprographics, and reproduction services, overseeing enquiry response processes, and maintaining an excellent and consistent standard of customer service.
