Archives and Records Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Archives and Records Management Specialist to join our team at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in archives and records management, with experience of working in an archive or information service.
Key Responsibilities- Management of the IISS archive: Complete the setting up of the IISS archive and take the lead on planning and prioritising future archive and records management initiatives.
- Development: Take responsibility for the development of the IISS Archives by creating finding aids; developing the E-Archives; refining archival policies and procedures in accordance with accepted standards and practices.
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in either Archives/Records Management or Librarianship/Information Science.
- Significant experience of working in an archive or information service, including the provision of research assistance.
- Significant experience of archive and library management systems.
- Strong core technical collection management skills - cataloguing, indexing and stock selection.
Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
