About The Role

The National Archives is seeking a skilled Product Manager to join our Cross Government Engagement team. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of a web-based service for the Information Management Assessment (IMA) programme.

Job Description

The IMA programme aims to ensure that information is managed in line with relevant legislation and record management principles. As Product Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify user needs, prioritise tasks, and drive iterative development.

Your Responsibilities

  • Creating product roadmaps and overseeing delivery
  • Managing relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Identifying user needs and prioritising tasks
  • Driving iterative development and ensuring a smooth transition for users

Requirements

  • Experience of setting clear product goals and roadmaps
  • Agile working and supplier management experience
  • Lifecycle perspective and operational management skills
  • Problem ownership and user focus
  • Strategic ownership and communication skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of the digital landscape and modern development practices
  • Experience with GDS Service Assessments
  • Knowledge of relevant sectors, including digital government and archives
