Overview

The Parliamentary Archives seek a highly skilled Digital Archives Assistant to join their Preservation & Access Team. As a Digital Archives Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing digital services, including collections management and preservation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop digital services, ensuring high-quality collections management and preservation practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals and values, promoting mutual trust, respect, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Organize your own time and workload, meeting deadlines and schedules while assimilating and interpreting a wide range of sources to inform decision-making.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • An interest in heritage, archives, or collections management, particularly digital collections.

Benefits

This full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months offers valuable experience in a dynamic environment. As a Trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in digital archives and heritage management.

Salary and Benefits

£27,500 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
