Job Summary

We are seeking an Information Records Specialist to support The National Archives' Access Service Team in managing and coordinating Freedom of Information (FOI) requests. The successful candidate will assist the team in monitoring tracking systems, entering requests, and responding to customer correspondence.

The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, with a high standard of attention to detail. Experience working with Microsoft Office and online systems is essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

This full-time position involves onsite and home working, with regular travel to our Kew site for a minimum of 60% of the time. SC-level Security Clearance or willingness to obtain clearance is mandatory, requiring residency in the UK for at least three years.

Salary: £28,337 per annum

Job Description: As an Information Records Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out research, responding to requests for open information, and completing tasks to provide responses. This includes triaging requests, redacting records, providing copies and transcripts.
