As a key member of the Trust & Safety team, you'll play an essential role in maintaining Trustpilot's reputation as a trusted and compliant platform.

About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Compliance and Regulatory Expert to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for regulatory issues and helping internal stakeholders understand them.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating in a non-contentious regulatory role, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused products. They should also have comprehensive legal technical skills, including knowledge of the European, UK, and US regulatory framework relevant to online platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and analysing new laws and regulations relating to areas such as online safety, digital content, and consumer protection in our key markets.
  • Identifying areas for improvement based on developed knowledge of Trustpilot's product and operations, ensuring our products and services are trusted by customers and meet all legal requirements.
  • Delivering easily-understandable and actionable items for stakeholders, translated from complex legal and regulatory language.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A right to practice law in Scotland, England & Wales, or Denmark, with 3-6 years' post-qualification experience, ideally partly in-house in the technology sector.
  • Experience operating in a non-contentious regulatory role, collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused products.
  • Comprehensive legal technical skills, including knowledge of the European, UK, and US regulatory framework relevant to online platforms.
