Role Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Mechatronics Apprenticeship program as an RME Mechatronics Apprentice. This role offers the chance to develop a wide range of skills across electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems disciplines. You will work closely with experienced technicians to develop your expertise in areas such as electrical, electronic, and control systems, mechanical engineering principles, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and safe working practices and maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated equipment
  • Fault finding, troubleshooting, and rectification of issues
  • Planned and preventative maintenance activities
  • Modifications and upgrades to existing equipment

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a genuine interest in engineering and technology, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You must also meet the basic qualifications outlined below.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent): Maths, English, and a science/technology subject
  • Not registered to study on a UK government-funded course ending August 2025 or later
  • Able to work 18 years old or older before entering an Amazon building
