Overview:
ENGINEERINGUK is offering a unique opportunity to join our Mechatronics Apprenticeship program as an RME Mechatronics Apprentice. This role provides the chance to develop a wide range of skills across electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a diverse skillset spanning electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems disciplines
- Work alongside experienced technicians to develop expertise in areas like electrical, electronic, and control systems, mechanical engineering principles, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and safe working practices and maintenance procedures
- Installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated equipment
- Fault finding, troubleshooting, and rectification of issues
- Planned and preventative maintenance activities
- Modifications and upgrades to existing equipment
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have a genuine interest in engineering and technology, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You must also meet the basic qualifications outlined below.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent): Maths, English, and a science/technology subject
- Not registered to study on a UK government-funded course ending August 2025 or later
- Able to work 18 years old or older before entering an Amazon building
