We are seeking an exceptional Construction Cost Manager to join our team on a cutting-edge development project near Cambridge.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The Role:

Job Description:
  • Manage construction costs, preparing cost plans, valuations, and project budgets to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Procure and manage subcontractor packages, negotiating contracts to achieve value for money.
  • Monitor and control project costs, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Prepare payment applications and process subcontractor payments in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities, promoting effective communication and strong working relationships.

About You:

  • A few years of post-degree experience in Quantity Surveying or a related field is ideal. Applicants in their final year of university will also be considered.
  • You should possess strong IT, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a small team.
  • A full driving licence is essential for frequent travel to site locations.
  • You should be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
