Company Overview: ARC Group is a leading construction company that prides itself on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Cambridge.

About the Role: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior QS team in managing costs, contracts, and project delivery. This includes preparing and managing project budgets and valuations, supporting senior surveyors in contract administration and cost reporting, helping manage subcontractor accounts and procurement processes, monitoring project progress, and providing financial updates to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and managing project budgets and valuations

  • Help manage subcontractor accounts and procurement processes
  • Monitor project progress and provide financial updates to the team
  • Contribute to risk management and cost control measures
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders as required

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or working towards)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role (construction experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, CostX, etc.)

Salary and Benefits: The successful candidate can expect a salary of around £40,000 per annum, plus benefits such as pension scheme, life insurance, and professional development opportunities.
