About This Role:

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to lead our Assessment Team, providing high-quality services to vulnerable children and families in Cambridgeshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting Child and Family Assessments and S47 investigations, developing and implementing plans to support children and families, and collaborating with colleagues and external agencies to ensure effective services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Assessment Team in conducting Child and Family Assessments and S47 investigations.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support children and families.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to provide effective services.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in a related field.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel.
  • Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding laws, and relevant policies.

Salary and Benefits:
