This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic senior psychologist to join our Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Community Learning Disability Team, part of the wider North Yorkshire, York & Selby Learning Disability Service.
About the RoleWe are seeking to appoint an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work within our multidisciplinary team based at Eastfield Clinic, Scarborough. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent health care and evidence-based practice.
Main Duties- Offering neuropsychological assessments to service users, alongside reflective practice, consultation, and supervision.
- Working closely with statutory agencies/care providers to provide specialist health services to adult service users who live with a learning disability, their families, and carers.
- Providing trainee placements and University teaching opportunities.
- Participating in peer support/supervision, CPD, training, research, and audit within the wider trust and psychological professions network.
- Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
- Post doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
- Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Experience of joint working with statutory, voluntary and private sector agencies.
