We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist Specialist to join our team at Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation to vulnerable and care-experienced children and young people.
About the RoleThe post holder will work as part of our Psychologically Informed Partnership Approach (PIPA) service, providing psychological support to young people and their families. The role will involve working in partnership with health and social care professionals to provide consultation, teaching, and training.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention to young people with complex needs
- Work in partnership with health and social care professionals to provide consultation and training
- Develop and implement care plans to support young people and their families
- Contribute to the development of the PIPA service and its strategic direction
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with vulnerable and care-experienced children and young people. They will have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will be required to have a doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They will also need to have experience of working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of care coordination.
