About the Opportunity:

This newly created role will provide environmental assurance and support to high-profile infrastructure projects across the Midlands region. As part of our Environmental team and Sustainability function, you will collaborate with project teams to develop and implement effective environmental strategies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring work packages are delivered in line with contractual, client, and company requirements.
  • Strategic analysis, planning, and implementation of environmental requirements on projects.
  • Measuring and reporting on environmental performance, undertaking regular inspections.
  • Managing projects with a focus on lean processes and waste reduction.
  • Promoting energy use reduction and carbon emissions minimisation, engaging with project teams and clients.
  • Understanding and reporting on material impacts and DfMA components utilised on projects.
  • Providing technical advice and support in resolving environmental issues.
  • Reviewing and advising on environmental training requirements for project staff.
  • Championing the implementation of our business environmental strategy, driving innovation and best practice.

About You:

  • A collaborative environment champion with influence within the construction industry.
  • Full UK driver's licence and vehicle access for travel and working across various projects.
  • Data collation (excel) and performance reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with environmental processes and assessments like BREEAM.
  • Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Confidence in giving presentations, training, and briefings.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
  • Mindset for innovation and change, identifying new ideas and instigating action.
  • Membership of IEMA, IES, or IEEM and/or degree educated in a sustainability or construction discipline.

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package including health insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
