Data Centre Maintenance Technician

A career opportunity awaits at Amazon as an Electrical Operations Specialist. This role entails operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and emergency generator equipment within AWS data centres. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical support to ensure seamless operations and deliver high standards for safety and security.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Perform limited maintenance tasks, including filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements
- Support Data Centre Operations technicians
- Analyse equipment failures to identify root causes
- Maintain adherence to safety procedures while performing work
- Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
- Technical training or relevant experience
- Formal electrical engineering certification NVQ Level 3 or higher
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word), and web-based operational tools
This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, Amazon provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
