About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Technician to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Data Centre Operations Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all electrical, mechanical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data centre.

The ideal candidate will have technical training or relevant experience in electrical engineering or a related field. You will also have strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word), and web-based operational tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
  • Perform limited maintenance tasks to include filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements
  • Provide support to Data Centre Operations technicians
  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
