Data Centre Shift Technician

R&A Consultants Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Shift Technician to join their team in Reading. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile site, ensuring the reliability of critical systems within a state-of-the-art data centre environment.
The successful candidate will have a technical qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering and a valid UK driving license. They will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on critical equipment, working alongside subcontractors during planned and reactive maintenance tasks, and maintaining water systems in compliance with L8 Legionella legislation.
About the Role
This is a permanent position offering a highly competitive salary of £49,400 per annum, including a £6,000 shift allowance. The continental shift pattern includes 0:700 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 hours. Benefits include 23 days holiday, a holiday buy scheme, gym access, and overtime available.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on critical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Work effectively with subcontractors during planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
