Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Project Lead to join our team at Colt Data Centre Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with experience in managing construction projects within the data centre industry.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of UK health and safety regulations, as well as international best practices. They will be responsible for delivering assigned projects within scope, timeframes, and budget, ensuring 100% satisfaction upon completion.

About the Role

This role focuses on on-site safety and quality management and is part of the DCS Delivery Team, which oversees data centre and infrastructure projects across Colt's pan-European and APAC estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of capital expansion or new data centre projects across the Colt estate, primarily in the United Kingdom.
  • Oversee daily project operations, coordinating with internal teams, external project managers, and general contractors for efficient delivery.
  • Organize and lead project-related meetings and workshops, documenting actions and decisions to maintain alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Ensure project and business risks are identified, managed, and mitigated with robust contingency plans.
  • Support the delivery of cost-effective and resilient M&E design and installations.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare standardized status reports, and address issues to recover costs or schedules when necessary.
  • Maintain a Risk and Issues Register and ensure safe construction and site operations throughout the project lifecycle.

What We Offer

The salary for this position is approximately £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a flexible working model, with opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
