Immunocore: Delivering Breakthrough Therapies

We are seeking a skilled Senior Molecular Biology Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating novel therapeutic targets and contributing to the nomination of new pipeline programs.

About the Role

  1. Validate novel therapeutic targets and advance new pipeline programs as a member of project teams.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) disease biology and key opinion leaders in the field.
  3. Evaluate representative models of cancer/healthy tissues and use in vitro ImmTAC assays to elucidate target biology.
  4. Analyze relevant literature to aid triaging potential cancer targets by gaining an in-depth understanding of target biological role and cancer disease biology.
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally and act as a representative in cross-functional project teams.
  6. Analyze and report experimental results verbally and in writing, and contribute to writing research publications.
  7. Demonstrate a record of scientific accomplishment as evidenced by publications, presentations, patent applications, and/or contributions to regulatory submissions.
  8. Apply an astute scientific approach with strong time management and agile work practices.
  9. Possess experience with histology techniques, such as FFPE/frozen tissue sectioning and Immunohistochemistry.
  10. Have experience with molecular biology techniques including primer design and qPCR, western blotting.
  11. Show in-depth knowledge of AML disease biology, molecular heterogeneity, stem cell biology, and representative models.
  12. Bring a drug-hunting industry record.
  13. Possess experience with analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data (10x), bioinformatics, pathology training, and complex cell and 3D models.

Requirements

  • Normally requires a PhD in a scientific discipline and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience; MSc degree or BSc degree with role-specific equivalent research or industrial experience.
  • Focused on delivering first-in-class biological therapies to patients, we have developed a highly innovative soluble TCR platform.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
