We are seeking an experienced Molecular Microbiologist to join our research group at the University of Oxford.
">About the Role: The post-holder will be responsible for managing their own academic research and administrative activities, with a focus on understanding bacterial warfare and competition in the human microbiome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to understand bacterial warfare and competition in the human microbiome
- Develop and use 3D hypoxic intestine-on-a-chip models
- Join a dynamic, productive, and interdisciplinary research group
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should hold a PhD/DPhil in molecular microbiology, including the study of ecological interactions in bacteria. Substantial experience in developing and using 3D hypoxic intestine-on-a-chip models is essential. Additionally, some experience with the molecular biology of bacteriocins is required.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
