About the Role

At CK Group, we are seeking an experienced scientist to join our team as a Cancer Research Scientist. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organized and proactive individual with expertise in virology and molecular biology to contribute to cutting-edge research on anti-cancer therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to strategic R&D projects, designing and executing studies to support oncolytic virus candidate pipeline development under GCLP.
  • Prioritize and coordinate scientific work streams and processes, ensuring seamless execution of experiments and data analysis.
  • Present research findings and data at meetings, leveraging expertise in molecular biology and virology to drive project success.
Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Virology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with cell culture, virus handling/purification, and cellular assay development.
  • Expertise in design and execution of molecular biology-based experiments, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, cloning, sequencing, and transfections.
  • Familiarity with omics experiments, such as short-read/long-read sequencing, transcriptomics, and primer/probe design.
  • In-vivo oncology experience is advantageous.
  • Experience working with oncolytic viruses or adenoviruses is desirable.

Location and Salary

We are based in Oxford, UK, and offer a competitive salary package ranging from £50,000 to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
