The Nightingale, a vibrant and welcoming pub in the heart of Bicester, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all food production, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure the kitchen team is fully trained and adheres to food safety and health and safety protocols.
  • Manage food and labour costs to achieve a strong food margin and labour within budget.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the kitchen team to deliver excellent food quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the front of house team to ensure seamless service and high standards of guest service.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of hygiene and health and safety in the kitchen.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a premium environment.
  • Passion for fresh food and ability to deliver to excellent standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including motivating and developing the kitchen team.
  • Ability to deal with poor performers in a fair and constructive manner.
