- Assist with menu planning and cost analysis to ensure profitability, making recommendations for improvement to the Head Chef.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, and make recommendations for improvement to the Head Chef, driving continuous improvement and excellence in kitchen operations.
- Assist with scheduling and managing kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, ensuring seamless execution of kitchen operations.
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant or catering environment, with a strong track record of leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment, with the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
