Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team at Preservica Limited. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and expanding our customer base.
About the Role:As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and qualifying leads to meet sales targets. You will work closely with our Sales, Channel, and Marketing teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and generate new business opportunities through targeted outreach and digital channels
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Facilitate handover of qualified leads to the Enterprise Sales team
- Maintain detailed records within Salesforce
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High-energy, motivated, and self-driven to succeed
- Proven work experience in a Business Development role
- Hands-on experience with sales qualification techniques such as BANT & MEDDIC
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Experience with Salesforce
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Experience of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
We offer a strong basic salary plus commission package, with opportunities for career growth and professional development. The role will initially be office-based in Abingdon but will evolve to be hybrid as your capability and responsibility grow.
