Job Description

Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting a Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist to support their rehab centre in Birmingham on a permanent basis.

The Birmingham site is a brain injury rehabilitation centre where people initially come for a 12-week assessment period, beginning a rehabilitation process to support their recovery after a brain injury.

You will work as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team providing occupational therapy input within the BIRT Neurobehavioural model to people with acquired brain injury and lead on OT provision within the service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist OT support in neurological rehabilitation, often as the sole clinician, with supervision as needed.
  • Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs or challenging behaviors.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes for complex cases.
  • Design care programs, oversee implementation by support staff, and monitor progress to ensure effective intervention.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in occupational therapy, be registered with the HCPC, and have experience in neurological rehabilitation.
