Bicycle Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that requires a Contract Research Organisation (CRO) Senior Manager to manage its external partnerships and oversee contract research projects.

Job Details

The successful candidate will have a strong scientific background and experience in contract research management, with a focus on building relationships with external partners. They will be responsible for driving the workflow for getting CDAs, MSAs, contracts, communication paths, and purchase orders in place for externalized research, as well as evaluating external providers for capabilities, quality, cost, throughput, and timelines.

The Contract Owner and Point of Contact will also be responsible for supporting the management of external research timelines and deliverables, including reporting of CRO performance to company leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Drive the workflow for getting CDAs, MSAs, contracts, communication paths, and purchase orders in place for externalized research.
  • CRO Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with CRO partners, acting as Contract Owner and Point of Contact in negotiations and resolution-finding.
  • Provider Evaluation: Evaluate external providers for capabilities, quality, cost, throughput, and timelines in various research assays and methods.
  • Research Timeline Management: Support the management of external research timelines and deliverables, including reporting of CRO performance to company leadership.

Estimated Salary: £75,000 - £95,000 per annum, depending on experience

Requirements
  • Education: Educated in chemical or life sciences, with laboratory research experience in the biopharma industry.
  • Experience: Demonstrated ability of working with scientists, legal teams, and vendors/CROs to develop statements of work, including follow-up during project execution.
  • Skills: Experience of creating and reporting key performance indicators to peers and leadership.
