Pharmaceutical Partnership Strategist

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Development & Partnerships to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area.
Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic collaborations and partnerships that are crucial to the company's growth, innovation, and success.
Key Responsibilities- Identifying and Establishing Partnerships
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, establishing, negotiating, and maintaining partnerships while understanding the framework of existing collaborations.
Leading Agreement NegotiationsThey will lead agreement negotiations ranging from drug discovery and development alliances to agreements with third parties that support research and development activities.
Alliance ManagementAdditionally, they will manage alliances post-deal signing to ensure maximum benefit to the company.
Sourcing New External OpportunitiesAnother key responsibility will be sourcing new external opportunities and leading mixed scientific and corporate development teams throughout the deal process, including technical and commercial due diligence.
Requirements- Relevant Degree and Experience
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with a relevant degree in science or business related to pharmaceutical R&D, business development, or technology transfer. Additionally, they must have proven industry experience in business development within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
Working Knowledge of IP LicensingA working knowledge and practical experience with IP licensing, drafting, and negotiating various agreement types is also essential.
Key Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What We OfferAs a Director of Business Development & Partnerships, you can expect a competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.
