We are seeking a skilled Children's Placement Support Specialist to join our team in Sheffield. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in working with vulnerable children and young people. Our ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including social care professionals and service providers.

**Job Responsibilities:**
* Identify and maintain suitable placements for children and young people coming into care.
* Manage competing priorities and work in a demanding yet rewarding role within the children's placements team.
* Process referrals for Looked After Children and Young People who require a placement/setting to live.
* Liaise directly with providers to secure appropriate and suitable placements for Barnsley children and young people.
* Work closely with the lead commissioner for Children's Placements and support the development of new providers.

**Requirements:**
* Extensive experience in delivering administrative support to children's services or direct work with children and families.
* Demonstrable experience of working with digital payment or performance systems.
* Experience working in children's services or a related field.
* A minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context, ideally within a public sector organisation.
* Enhanced DBS and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

**Salary & Benefits:**
