Job Overview

Pertemps is delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting Delivery Workers across Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company during the peak festive period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will begin each day at the local delivery office, where you will sort and collect post/parcels to be delivered.
  • A hand-held device will be provided to capture customer signatures for deliveries, as well as serve as your routing system, guiding you to your next destination.
  • This role requires physical stamina, as you will be walking at least 8 miles per day, carrying a post bag, delivering letters and parcels, and performing driving and on-foot deliveries.
  • You will also be responsible for pushing/pulling a post trolley during deliveries.

Requirements:
  • MUST hold a valid full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points (a clean license is preferred).
  • Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are required.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities are necessary.
  • A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices is essential.
  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions is required.
  • Flexibility with shift times and days is essential.
  • A Basic Disclosure check will be conducted for successful candidates.

Estimated Salary: £17.29 per hour
