Job Description

GE Power Conversion, part of GE Vernova, is seeking a highly skilled APQP Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with quality-related issues within the manufacturing team, including internal, supplier, customer, and customer warranty issues.
  • Identify root cause and implement permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain control plans and associated documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to the Quality Management system (ISO9001/AQAP2110) and assist with compliance.
  • Provide training on quality awareness and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to prevent non-conformity.
  • Promote the use of customer-preferred techniques for continuous improvement, such as Sig-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, and Measurement System Analysis.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop new products or changes related to current products.
  • Develop and refine Design and Process FMEA's (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • Lead quality audits through the supply chain and conduct quality control reviews.
  • Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to the customer base.
Essential Skillset/Requirements
  • Knowledge of quality systems, measurement tools, and techniques.
  • Advanced Quality Planning (APQP), Part Approval Processes (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) knowledge.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge, including VSM and Gauge R&R.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical) and manufacturing processes.
  • NATO standards AQAP2105/2110 knowledge.
  • Microsoft programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook) proficiency.
  • Sole British citizenship with a valid British Passport and SC level clearance.
