About the Role

GE Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, from design to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement quality improvements.
  2. Develop and maintain quality control plans and procedures.
  3. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  4. Investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
  5. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
  6. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality of raw materials and components.
  7. Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  1. Knowledge of quality systems and measurement tools and techniques.
  2. Knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning (APQP), Part approval processes (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
  3. Lean Manufacturing knowledge, VSM, Gauge R&R.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as: MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft Power point and Microsoft Outlook.
  8. Sole British citizenship with a valid British Passport (UK Eyes only) and possession of or ability to obtain SC level clearance.
