Job Summary

We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our team at Janus Henderson. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR function, including managing the HR inbox, submitting new joiner details, and monitoring work permits and visas.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. They will also be able to build effective relationships with employees and HR peers, and proactively look for ways to improve HR administrative processes and procedures.

As an HR Coordinator at Janus Henderson, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the growth and development of our employees.

  • Manage the HR Admin inbox, responding to employee inquiries in a timely manner and determining the appropriate resolution or directing the employee to appropriate resources within Janus Henderson.
  • Submit new joiner details to our third-party reference provider, manage the process, and follow up on any queries.
  • Monitor work permits and visas for all employees and ensure that the database is kept up-to-date.
  • Produce letters regarding maternity, paternity, unpaid, and parental leave.
  • Conduct maternity leave/Shared Parental leave meetings when required.
  • Assist HR Operations in maintaining employee self-service and dealing with any queries.
  • Enter and communicate all employee transactions in the HR system such as pay changes, transfers, and terminations. Ensure that employee data is accurate in HR systems.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team where needed with the Trainee Programme recruitment.
  • Maintain an accurate record via Excel of all severance calculations and draft all Settlement Agreements. Provide all exit paperwork and accompanying paperwork to the appropriate Generalist or HR Business Partner.

Requirements:

  • Requires analytical, critical thinking, and interpretive skills to apply various employment situations against JHI policies and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with employees and HR peers; proactively look for ways of improving HR administrative processes and procedures.
  • Able to own tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
