Our Mission

We are seeking a visionary and commercially-savvy Head of Marketing to lead our marketing function. This pivotal role will oversee all marketing strategies and initiatives to drive member engagement, retention, and growth, with a strong focus on expanding our reach and promoting our world-class professional development training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Membership Growth: Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns to attract new members, including leveraging digital marketing, partnerships, and referral programmes working closely with the membership team.
  • Brand Management: Strengthen and manage the organisation's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communications and platforms.
  • Member Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance member engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Professional Development Promotion: Collaborate with the professional development team to market training courses and CPD workshops, driving participation and growth in these areas.
  • Content Strategy: Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality content across various channels.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing efforts, including website management, email marketing, SEO, and social media strategies.
  • Event Promotion: Develop and implement marketing plans for events, conferences, and webinars to drive attendance and participation.
  • Market Research: Conduct regular market research to understand member needs, industry trends, brand awareness, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and demonstrating ROI. Using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse performance, providing regular reports to the Director of Membership Services for use at Board level reporting.
Person Specification

Essential:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

A master's or professional marketing qualification (e.g., CIM) is desirable.

Knowledge:

Up-to-date knowledge of various software, platforms, and digital tools (including AI-driven) needed to provide a modern marketing service.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably with experience of different sectors or audiences. Proven experience in developing and executing commercially-focused marketing strategies.
