Job Title: Work Experience Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Work Experience Coordinator to join our team at Bournemouth and Poole College. As a key member of our commercial and Curriculum Teams, you will be responsible for coordinating industry placements for our students, building relationships with employers, and ensuring a smooth experience for all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with employers to explore opportunities for student industry placements and coordinate logistics.
  • Work closely with Academic Tutors and curriculum staff to prepare students for industry placements, including developing CVs and guiding learning/training activities.
  • Arrange visits to students on industry placements to ensure proper induction, completion of learning logs, and evaluation of placement impact.
  • Liaise with Academic Tutors and placement providers to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Ensure all industry placements are set up and authorized in accordance with the College's Health & Safety industry placement procedure.
Requirements:
  • Minimum GCSE level 2 in English and Math's or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate experience of building rapport and strong relationships with clients.
  • Knowledge of the skills and personal qualities needed by students for the employment sector/organisations for which they are being prepared.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to helping students in their personal development.
