Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise closely with Radiotherapy Radiography team/Lead Physicist and Senior Dosimetrist on site/Diagnostic Radiographer/Senior Nurse - Chemotherapy/Senior Nurse Outpatients/Administration team.
  • Follow all duties as a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registrant (standards of conduct, performance, and ethics).
  • Follow all Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of proficiency.
  • Follow clinical protocols, policies and procedures at all times and operate in full compliance and maintain safe and effective working practices at all times, including the operation of equipment and systems in use within the centre in accordance with radiation regulations and quality assurance requirements ensuring that more junior radiographers do also.
  • Thoroughly record compliments alongside incidents and complaints and assist in proper investigation at all times ensuring that necessary safeguards are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Be aware of the close working relationship with external partners/service providers at all times and the requirement to comply with their policies accordingly.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous experience within all aspects of radiotherapy; quality assurance, pre-treatment, and treatment.
  • Previous experience working in private health sector – advantageous.
  • Prior experience with resolving complaints satisfactorily.
  • Experience of proactively evolving radiotherapy techniques.
  • A range of radiotherapy clinical skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy (or equivalent).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Some knowledge of report writing.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is £65,000-£80,000, depending on experience. The benefits package includes 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the option to buy/sell annual leave.
