Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Glasswell and Last Limited.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the project management team and other departments within the business with resilient, value for money, and efficient purchasing practices.

  • Agreeing favourable credit terms and discounting with suppliers
  • Raising purchase orders and maintaining our ordering platform
  • Integrating with project planning resource and giving updates on long lead time items and potential issues
  • Identifying plant or equipment shortages and suggesting alternatives
  • Assisting in vesting of materials and prompt payment activities to preserve cashflow.
  • Working with Goods in and Goods out to ensure purchases are correct and working with supplier to remediate mistakes and mis quantities.
  • Assist in providing technical information, datasheets and obtaining quotes for others to accurately price jobs.
  • Assist in trending of material prices to identify risks in tendering opportunities.
  • Able to demonstrate a risk assessed appropriate to procurement to ensure resilience and best value.
  • Other general administrative tasks required to support the team.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The benefits package includes health insurance, pension scheme, and 25 days annual leave.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office particularly in using databases and spreadsheets
  • Working knowledge of procurement law
  • Have a good working understanding of mechanical and electrical parts and components.
  • CIPS Procurement Certificate would be desirable.
  • Well organised, dependable
  • Able to work independently and be a team player
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written (English Language)
